My trip to Australia has always had its ups and downs. Missing flights to getting delayed, I made it through to Gold Coast, my first stop over in Australia, in one piece. My usual transit has always been Bangkok, Thailand but this time I wanted to try a different route. India is said to be a "dangerous" route to take and my mother was dead worried. I assured her travelling by air is different, I will just be at the airport and it shouldn't be a concern. I guess I was right on that. However, I wouldn't want to have a long haul over at Guwahati International Airport. It was so crowded, hot and filthy. And people stare at you for I guess looking non-Indian. The only good thing was ladies and gents have separate screening ports. This is a total advantage as one doesn't have to wait in queue and get to go ahead of the men. People are quite rude but not all, there was this man who was kind enough to take me to the next connecting flight check in counter. I am not looking at taking Air Indigo ever again. The flight was delayed for an hour. I was sick worried that I might miss my international flight from Kolkata. Thank God! I made it right in time to go through security. Kolkata international airport was a lot cleaner and less crowded. I slept through the entire flight to Klia2. Several scary turbulence woke me up and I found myself chanting "Baza Guru".

Arriving Klia2, it's my second time transit through Malaysia. The first time I didn't like it so much but this time around I found it was "ok" for a long hour haul. Of course I would still vote Changi International Airport, Singapore to be the best :). This time I took a stroll around the airport, found several charging stations, exchanged some money, got myself vegetable curry noddle for lunch, which kinda makes me sick when I think of it now. I gulped a whole bowl down, maybe coz I must have been hungry. I watched a movie at the movie lounge (free, located at international departure level 2) and also got myself some sleep in the movie lounge. It was nice and bright. I did get some decent sleep.
